at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide improvements to Alden St. Park, Alden St. and Roosevelt Ave., Springfield MA 01109. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Project includes construction of a new paved walking path, fishing deck, concrete stairs, owner-furnished site furnishings, and associated site work, including erosion and sedimentation controls. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $180,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com (during normal business hours) beginning on February 12, 2025.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on February 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than February 21, 2025 (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
