at which time the proposals will be privately reviewed in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the required services, to submit proposals for performing on-call as needed, environmental monitoring services. Work will consist of environmental testing, monitoring, remediation and oversight in connection with City demolition and construction projects. This RFP is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 30B.
The City intends to award up to three (3) contracts, with an estimated value of $500,000.00 each. Contract(s) will be awarded to the most advantageous proposal received. The initial term of the Contract will be one year, but will contain two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion. RFP documents can be requested through the City’s website or in person (during normal business hours) beginning on September 30, 2024.

All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be submitted in writing and received by the Office of Procurement via fax or email (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) no later than October 7, 2024 by 4:30 P.M. to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.
