at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide development of Springfield Bike & Skate Park at Gurdon Bill Park, 469 Liberty St, Springfield, MA 01104. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Project includes temporary sediment & erosion controls, earthwork, drainage, paved walkways, construction of concrete bike and skate park, installation of owner-furnished elements including splash pad equipment, swing set, site furnishings, electrical work, new water service, and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $1,400,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com (during normal business hours) beginning on August 14, 2024.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on August 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than August 30, 2024 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
