THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com.
The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management is seeking bids for improvements to SPDE School playground including the installation of sediment and erosion controls; cement concrete pavement; earthwork; installation of owner-supplied playground equipment, fencing; coordination with Owner’s poured-in-place safety surfacing vendors; site restoration and landscaping. Estimated cost of the project is $120,000. This bid fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.
Bids for General Contractors will be received until 2:00 PM on 7/17/24, and publicly opened, forthwith online.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available 6/20/24 at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed electronically and downloaded at no cost) or hard copies may be purchased at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).
Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit at 34 Nye Street, Springfield, MA 01104 scheduled for 7/2/24 at 9:00 a.m. Contact: Anja Duffy, GZA, Inc; anjaduffy@gza.com with inquiries concerning the pre-bid site visit. Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on 7/9/24 in order to be considered. The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. MA DLS and Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
