25-002 - PA: Services - Repair and Maintenance of Musical Instruments

End date: Tuesday June 25, 2024 at 2 p.m.

Bid documents and specifications will be available beginning June 11, 2024 at the Office of Procurement, or through the Citys website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. This Invitation for Bid is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B.

The Springfield Public School Department is seeking to obtain a price agreement for musical instrument repair and maintenance services for various Springfield Public Schools. Instruments will be picked up from various school sites, repaired and returned to their school sites on a weekly basis, or as arranged through the Director of Visual & Performing Arts. Instruments will be repaired and returned to various schools within one-week time frame unless availability of parts prohibits this turnaround time. Where part availability is an issue, a two-to-three-week turnaround time will be expected. Vendor will provide free loaned instruments to schools when their instrument repairs require longer than their standard 7day turnaround time.

The estimated cost is $ 85,000.00 per year. The term of the contract shall cover the time period between July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. This contract shall include an option to renew for two additional one-year terms.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
