THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com.

The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management is seeking bids for the construction of a new Band Shell at the grounds of the Springfield High School of Science & Technology. The project includes site work, utilities, foundations, masonry, pre-engineered coverings, and electrical work. Estimated cost of the project is $3,410,000.00. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be received until 2:00 PM on June 27, 2024, publicly opened, forthwith online.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available June 12, 2024 at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed electronically and downloaded at no cost) or hard copies may be purchased at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit at 1250 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109 scheduled for June 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Contact: James Fiore, Caolo and Bieniek Associates, Inc; JFiore@cbaarchitects.net with inquiries concerning the pre-bid site visit. Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on June 20, 2024 in order to be considered. The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. MA DLS and Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
