at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield is seeking a qualified vendor(s) to perform soil testing, fertilizer and pesticide application and occasional overseeding and aeration on an on-call and as needed basis. This IFB is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 30B and other procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield has approximately 560,000 square feet of irrigated terraces, approximately 72 acres of ball fields, and 10 acres of park land requiring applications across the City. The City’s School property consists of approximately 178 acres. The City intends to award contracts for up to Three (3) responsible contractors. The term of the Contract will be three (3) years, and will be for a total not to exceed $100,000.00.

Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com (during normal business hours) beginning on May 28, 2024. All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement on or before June 4, 2024 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.
