THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com.

Bids will be received until 2:00 PM on May 2, 2024, and publicly opened, forthwith online.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to provide parking lot improvements at the following Springfield Public Schools. These bids fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Bid 24-220 – Frank H Freedman School, 90 Cherokee Dr., Springfield, MA 01109. This project includes milling and overlaying the existing surface and expansion of the parking lot. It also includes construction of a storm water bioretention area, concrete sidewalk, and miscellaneous site improvements. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $650,000.00. It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 4/18/24 at 10:30 A.M. on-site.

Bid Forms will be available April 11, 2023 at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed electronically and downloaded at no cost) or hard copies may be purchased at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before 4/23/24 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
