at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide renovations to Florentine Gardens, 57 Spruceland Ave, Springfield, MA 01108. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Work includes the renovations to the Florentine Gardens open space with installation of owner supplied single tier fountain and benches. Project includes new water service, electrical, irrigation, landscaping and tree plantings. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $125,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on January 10, 2024.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on January 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than January 19, 2024 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
