THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com.

The City through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management – Facilities Division is seeking bids for the construction of a new pre-engineered pavilion structure and related sitework at STEM Middle Academy. Estimated cost of the project is Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($480,000.00). This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be received until 2:00 PM on December 20, 2023, publicly opened, forthwith online.

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit at 60 Alton St, Springfield, MA 01109 scheduled for December 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Contact: Jim Hanifan, Caolo and Bieniek Associates, Inc; JHanifan@cbaarchitects.net with inquiries concerning the pre-bid site visit. This meeting will provide an opportunity for interested parties to inspect the site and all particulars and resolve questions regarding the scope of work, existing conditions and the specifications. Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on December 14, 2023 in order to be considered.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available December 6, 2023 at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed electronically and downloaded at no cost) or hard copies may be purchased at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety and Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
