The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide redevelopment of Greenleaf Park, 1187 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.
Work includes the installation of sediment & erosion controls, construction of new accessible walkways & trails; removal and reconstruction of outfall/headwall, cast-in-place concrete, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings, playground and splash pad equipment, installation of stormwater utilities, installation of an owner-furnished prefabricated pedestrian bridge, tree removal, associated earthwork, tree plantings, and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $1,150,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on June 21, 2023.
It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on June 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM on site. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety and Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
