at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning October 19, 2022, request bid documents through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com . Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30 § 39M and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide various species of trees and to conduct plantings of said trees as required by City Forester. This work will be done on an on-call basis, and will be separate from emergency operations. Contract will be funded through CBDG funds and all HUD requirements apply.

The City intends to award a contract to up to Three (3) contractors that are the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) is Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) per year. The City will retain Two (2) one-year options to renew which will be exercised at its sole discretion.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement (lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com ) by October 26, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Davis Bacon Wage rates apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
