The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide improvements to Calhoun Park, 82 Jefferson Ave, Springfield, MA 01107. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.
Work includes the installation of sediment & erosion controls; demolition of playground, pavement, fencing, benches and misc. site elements; tree protection; cement concrete pavement; cast-in-place concrete handball wall; drainage; earthwork; installation owner-supplied playground and furnishings; furnish and install flagpole; coordination with Owner’s fencing and poured-in-place safety surfacing vendors; site restoration and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $450,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on May 31, 2023.
It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on June 7, 2023 at 11:30 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than June 13, 2023 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates and/or Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
