at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide renovations at Cottage Hill Park, 130 Oak Street, Indian Orchard, Springfield MA 01151. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Work includes the installation of sediment & erosion controls, demolition of benches, stump removal, tree protection, removal and replacement of cement concrete walkway, cobblestone curbing, new water service, new yard hydrant, installation of owner-supplied site furnishings, and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $150,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on May 10, 2023.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on May 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than May 17, 2023 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
