at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov (during normal business hours) beginning on May 3, 2023.

The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to provide Underground Storage Tank Removal. Generally, the work includes, but is not limited to; removal of existing Under Ground Storage Tank, excavation, site protection, and utilities protection. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Bid 23-175 – Pottenger Elementary School, 1435 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $30,000.00. It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 5/11/23 at 9:00 A.M. on-site.

All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement on or before May 12, 2022 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
