Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor for Maintenance Dredging of Franconia Golf Course’s Irrigation Pond for the Department of Capital Asset Construction - Bid No. 23-110

Bid Forms and all documents will be available for pick-up at the Office of Procurement or through the city’s website (Springfieldcityhall.com) on February 3, 2023 during normal business hours.

Maintenance Dredging of Franconia Golf Course’s Irrigation Pond will include dredging, removal, and transportation of approximately 1,400 C.Y ± of sediment. The contractor will be responsible for all temporary construction mats, turbidity curtains, erosion control efforts, and other environmental protections referenced in the plans required to dredge in the water of the irrigation pond. The material excavated from the pond will be transported to the sediment reuse area shown on the project plans, the contractor will be responsible to repair any damage from the transportation of material to the satisfaction of the owner. The purpose of this project is to allow the City of Springfield to utilize the irrigation pond to water Franconia Golf Course. This IFB is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 30 39M and other state procurement statutes. MA Prevailing Wages will apply to this project. This project has an estimated cost of two hundred and ten thousand dollars ($210,000.00).

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.

The Deputy Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.
