at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning August 31, 2022 at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.

The City is seeking qualifications from qualified Architects/Designers to perform design services for the project entitled; “Riverfront Elevator Replacement.” The general scope of services shall include designs, specifications and construction documents for the above-mentioned project work, and continuing through the bidding and potential construction administrative phases, including final closeouts and warranties should the project progress to this stage. The Design Fee for Basic Services is expected to be range between 8% and 10% of the project cost ($500,000.00), and will be negotiated- not to exceed $50,000 – fifty thousand dollars. This RFQ will be conducted pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 7C§§44-57.

All interested parties should attend a site visit on September 7, 2022 at 9:00 A.M on-site at the Riverfront Park Main Entrance (Total time estimated to be 1-1/2 hours).

All questions regarding this RFQ or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by September 7, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
