23-003 - Agreement to Provide Food for Prisoners in Police Lock Up

The City is seeking a vendor that can meet the City’s needs and are accessible to supply Prisoners Two (2) meals (Breakfast and Dinner) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This includes all Holidays. Prisoners are to receive Three (3) meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) only on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays that fall on Saturday and Sunday.

The City intends to award to One (1) potential contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value of the contract shall not exceed $40,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by August 29, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
