22-147 - One (1) Steel Deck Motor Truck Scale for the Department of Public Works

The City is seeking qualified bidders to furnish, supply, and deliver a steel deck motor truck scale for use to weigh all commercial vehicles that enter/exit the DPW yard with any load of materials.

The scale shall have:
1. A clear and unobstructed weighing surface of not less than 70 feet long and 11 feet wide.
2. Fully electronic in design and shall not incorporate any mechanical weighing elements, check rods or check stays.
3. Must have a gross weighing capacity of 100 tons.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
