at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide Abatement of VAT for Springfield Public Day High School in Springfield, MA 01151. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
Work includes, but is not limited to: Asbestos Abatement of flooring and associated materials including cove base as designated in the Contract Documents. All work shall be performed by a Massachusetts licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Estimated value of the contract is approximately $100,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on February 9, 2022.

There will be a MANDATORY SITE VISIT on February 22, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Springfield Public Day High School, 90 Berkshire St, Indian Orchard, MA 01151. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than February 25, 2022 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
