22-109 - Branch Library Security Guard Services

Bid documents will be available February 7, 2022 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website (www.springfieldcityhall.com).

Library Department is seeking responses from qualified bidders for security guard services at six (6) branch libraries. The contractor will provide all labor and equipment necessary to provide the required services for the following locations, days, and times. The Contractor for branch library guard services shall be for a three (3) year term commencing on April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023, with options to renew for up to two (2) additional one-year terms. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c.30B § 5.

All guards must have current Red Cross CPR certification and have passed a satisfactory CORI check performed through the contractor. Proof of satisfactory CORI check will be provided by the contractor to the Library Director’s Office on or before March 7, 2022.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than February 22, 2022 by 4:30 P.M. to Lauren Stabilo, CPO at lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com . The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
