at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bid forms are available on the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com on September 8, 2021, under the “Available Solicitations” tab.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide emergency tree work, which will include removing, pruning and proper disposal of trees and debris as required by City Forester. The City intends to award a contract to up to Three (3) contractors that are the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $600,000.00 per year. The initial term of the contract awarded is One (1) year with option to renew for two (2) additional years. This bid is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 30 § 39M and other applicable procurement statues.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than September 16, 2021 by 4:30 P.M. to Katie Vegh at kvegh@springfieldcityhall.com . The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
