at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning August 23, 2021, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B Section 5 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield Fire Department is seeking to secure financing in order to complete a lease purchase of a Fire Apparatus. The actual purchase of the vehicle will be through a collaborative agreement, bid is for lease financing only. Estimated value of the apparatus to be purchased is $761,266.00. Finance agreement will be for Six (6) years in length.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
