at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning August 30, 2021, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B section 5 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City is seeking a qualified Vendor to supply a significant amount of Detroit Diesel parts and services on an as needed basis.

The City intends to award one (1) contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value shall not exceed $100,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
