at which time they will be publicly opened and read via teleconference (Call in Number: (413) 784-4951, ID# 312372#) in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to furnish and Install a Gazebo at Forest Park Aquatic Garden in Springfield, MA. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. This project is funded through CPA grant funds.

The Forest Park Aquatics Garden Gazebo project will replace a gazebo in Forest Park that was damaged in the October 2011 snowstorm. Work includes demolition of existing gazebo floor boards and installation of a new timber frame 20’x24’ gazebo. Note, existing concrete piers to remain and be reused.

Estimated value of the contract is approximately $120,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov (during normal business hours) beginning on May 19, 2021.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

There is a OPTIONAL SITE VISIT on 5/26/2021 at 11:30 A.M. on-site Forest Park (Site is open to the public during normal park operating hours). All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement on or before May 27, 2021 by 4:30 P.M. (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
