At which time they will be publicly opened and read via teleconference. Call in Number: (413) 784-4951, ID# 312372#. Bid forms will be available on the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com on May 26, 2021, under the “Available Solicitations” tab.
Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 section 39M. The conditions of employment and wage rates, as set forth by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety shall prevail in the execution of the work under this contract. Estimated total project cost is $170,000.00.
Project Scope of Work includes city-wide repainting of pavement marking, the majority of which are 4-inch wide double yellow centerlines and white shoulders (fog lines). Additionally, the City intends to repaint crosswalks, stop bars, legends, text, and some green bike boxes. Paint removal may also be required. Approximate quantities are included within the Project Manual.
BIDDERS MUST BE PRE-QUALIFIED THROUGH THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be providing the City of Springfield with an official contractor bid list for all contractors that are prequalified in the specific class of work, under Pavement Markings category with a single contract limit at or above the dollar value of the project. The prequalification office will also provide a list of those contractors who have been granted a waiver by the prequalification committee to bid the project. If company/firm requesting bid documents is not prequalified under “Pavement Markings” bid will be given out for informational purposes only.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) minority and women participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
All questions regarding the bids or the specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than June 10, 2021 by 4:00 P.M. Questions must be submitted via FAX or email kvegh@springfieldcityhall.com
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
