Request for Qualifications (RFQ) DESIGNER SELECTION FOR ROCKRIMMON BOAT HOUSE FEASIBILITY STUDY

At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFQ documents and specifications will be available beginning on March 31, 2021, on the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com.

The City of Springfield seeks qualification and price proposals from qualified Preservation Professionals to perform the project entitled “Feasibility Study for Rockrimmon Boat House”, located at North Riverfront Park, 121 West Street, Springfield MA 01104. The feasibility study is intended to assess the building’s current condition and usage, identify historical significant characteristics, and related constraints to redevelopment and will include possible recommendations to address building conditions to improve functionality of the building for public use. The Design for the feasibility study will be negotiated, and is not to exceed $25,000.00.

Proposers must submit written questions to the Office of Procurement no later than April 14, 2021 at 4:30 P.M in order to be considered (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com). The Office of Procurement fax number is (413) 787-6295. Questions will be answered via numbered addenda sent to all plan holders.

All interested parties should attend a briefing session/site walk at North Riverfront Park, Rockrimmon Boat House, on April 8, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at 121 West Street, Springfield, MA 01104 (Total time estimated to be 1 hour, or 10:00A.M. to 11:00 A.M.).

All Proposals becomes the property of the City of Springfield. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.
