at which time they will be publicly opened and read via teleconference (Call in Number: (413) 784-4951, ID# 312372#) in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to provide VAT Abatement services at Glickman Elementary School, located at 120 Ashland Ave, Springfield, MA 01119. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.

Work includes, but is not limited to: replacement of leaking copper lines in the main hallway. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $100,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov (during normal business hours) beginning on March 25, 2021.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

There is a MANDATORY SITE VISIT on 3/30/2021 at 10:00A.M. on-site at the School. All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement on or before April 1, 2021 by 4:30 P.M. (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
