at which time they will be publicly opened and read via teleconference (Call in Number: (413) 784-4951, ID# 312372#) in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to provide Abatement of VAT for Springfield Public Schools/ South End Middle School in Springfield, MA 01105. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.

Work includes, but is not limited to: Abatement of VAT floor tiles, cove base, floor tile mastic and associated conditions as designated in the Contract Documents. All work shall be performed by a Massachusetts licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Estimated value of the contract is approximately $100,000.00.

Bid documents can be requested through the Citys website; www.springfieldcityhall.com (during normal business hours) beginning on February 24, 2021.

There is a mandatory site visit on 3/3/2021 at 9A.M. - 11A.M. on site at South End Middle School, located at 36 Margaret Street, Springfield, MA 01105.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
