Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on December 23, 2020, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be opened at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be opened via teleconference. Please call (413) 784-4951 (Participant Code 312372). Bid documents will be available via the City’s Procurement portal; www.springfieldcityhall.com, beginning December 9, 2020 at 9:00 A.M.
Remediation Work at City Municipal Golf Courses (Veterans and Franconia. Project will be bid pursuant to MGL Chapter 3039M. Work will consist of bunker repairs, drainage installation, landscaping, dewatering, and other related scopes of work.
Project is estimated not to exceed $1 Million. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 12/15/20 starting at Franconia Golf Course (619 Dwight Road) followed by Veteran’s Golf Course. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Peter Garvey (413) 787-6445.
Contractor must agree to pay Davis Bacon wage rates or MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by December 16, 2020, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com).
