Invitation for Bids: Services: On-Call Floor Screening and Finishing Services– Bid No. 20-168

at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning May 21, 2020, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com.

The City is seeking Contractors to perform On-Call and as needed Floor Screening and Resurfacing services on an on-call basis at various City locations. The City intends to award a contract to up to two (2) vendors that are the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) is One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00). This contract is for One (1) year only. The bid is governed by Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least seven business days prior to bid opening, or May 29,2020 .The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply.

The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
