Bid No. 19-168; Interior Painting at Various Schools
Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on June 13, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Interior Painting at Various Schools. Work to be performed at the following schools: Forest Park Middle School, Chestnut Middle School, and JFK Middle School. The Work under the Contract consists of interior painting of walls, trim and associated materials. All work shall be performed by a Painting Contractor in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Project is estimated not to exceed $80,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 6/6/19 at 9:00 A.M, on-site starting at Forest Park Middle School, 46 Oakland St, Springfield, MA 01108. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Jon Carignan at (413) 787-6279.
Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning May 30, 2019, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.
Contractor must agree to pay MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by June 7, 2019, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com).

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
