Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on May 28, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The City is issuing this Bid solicitation for Resurfacing of the Athletic Track at Central High School, located at 1840 Roosevelt Avenue, Springfield MA. The Work under the Contract consists of resurfacing of the walking track, surface, restoration of markings and indications. All work shall be performed in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Project is estimated not to exceed $100,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 5/15/19 at 9:00 A.M, on-site at Central High School. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Jon Carignan at (413) 787-6279.
Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning May 14, 2019, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.
Contractor must agree to pay MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by May 28, 2019, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com).
