at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.
Bid documents and specifications will be available beginning May 6, 2019 at 8:30 A.M. Please refer to the bid number and the opening date when inquiring. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B.

The City is selling to the highest bidder for the sale of 68 surplus bicycles from the Springfield Police Department. The stored bicycles and bike parts have brand names such as Trek, Schwinn and Raleigh, etc. Bidders wishing to view items may do so by appointment at the Springfield Police Department Headquarters at 130 Pearl St., Springfield, MA 01105. One (1) Original hard copy must be submitted in sealed envelope to the Office of Procurement, 36 Court Street, 3rd floor, Springfield, MA 01103 Attn: Lauren Stabilo, Chief Procurement Officer. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by May 13, 2019 by 4:30pm.

Payment should be made to the City of Springfield (by Certified Check only) and must be paid within 5 (five) days. The bicycles must be picked up by June 4th, 2019.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
