Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on May 6, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

The City is issuing this Bid solicitation for VAT Abatement at Kiley Middle School, located at 180 Cooley Street, Springfield MA. Work will include the abatement of 9”x9” VAT floor tiles, cove base, and floor tile mastic and associated conditions at the Kiley School.

Project is estimated not to exceed $100,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 4/18/19 at 9:00 A.M, on-site at the Kiley Middle School, 180 Cooley Street. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Jon Carignan at (413) 787-6279.

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning April 12, 2019, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.

Contractor must agree to pay MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by April 24, 2019, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com).
