Request for Qualifications: Designer/Engineer Services; Installation of Security Cameras and Intrusion Alarms at SPS

At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFQ documents and specifications will be available beginning on December 26, 2018 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com.

The City of Springfield is soliciting Request for Services of a qualified Designer/Engineer to provide consultant services for the layout, installation and associated set up of various intrusion alarms, security cameras, and other associated security equipment for the Springfield Public Schools. Awarded contract may be amended to include continued designer services through design development, construction contract documents, bidding, awarding of construction contract(s), construction administration, final closeout and warranty period. The estimated construction cost of the project is $500,000.00, and the Designer fee will be set not to exceed 10% of the ECC.

All questions regarding the RFQ must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than January 2,2019at 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. Questions will be answered via numbered addenda and distributed to all plan holders by the Office of Procurement.

All RFQ responses must be delivered in sealed packages clearly labeled with the City’s RFQ number and firm name to the Office of Procurement no later than January 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. All Proposals becomes the property of the City of Springfield. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
