Supply, Furnish, and Installation of Intrusion Alarm Systems

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category, “Electric” OR “General Building Construction.”

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on December 7, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. There are no Filed Sub Bids for this Contract.

The City is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to supply, furnish and install Intrusion Alarm Systems for the Springfield Public Schools. All equipment must be tested for functionality and compatibility before installation of any equipment is accepted by the City. The Contractor is responsible for removing the existing equipment that is currently installed, as well as installing new equipment up to specifications.

Estimated cost of the Project is not to exceed $500,000.00.

Bid specifications can be requested in person at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com, for no charge beginning on 11/20/18.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) by 11/30/18 at 4:30 P.M. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
