at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning September 9, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§ 5 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City is seeking qualified bidders to furnish, supply, and deliver various pieces of kitchen small wares and other related supplies for use in the Springfield Public Schools new Culinary Center. There is no installation or construction contemplated under this solicitation. The City intends to award a single contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value of the contract for the purchase and delivery of the equipment is $80,000.00.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by October 11, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
