19-047 - IFB: Temporary Housing for City Residents
End date: Monday October 1, 2018 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield, acting through the Chief Procurement Officer and the City’s Office of Housing, issues this request to Bidders who have an interest in providing the City with temporary housing for individuals and families displaced by the active de-leading of their housing unit(s) under the Massachusetts Lead Law and in association with the City’s Healthy Homes rehabilitation program.
The Vendor agrees to place individuals and families under a City Agreement in a unit which shall be acceptable by the City. The Vendor must provide placement of individuals and families at a specified location during normal business hours Monday - Friday. The Agreement will be for the period beginning October, 2018 and ending September 30, 2019. The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to renew the Agreement for an additional one (1) year term. The City reserves the right to enter into contract with more than one bidder. The City hereby requests sealed bids in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, § 5.
The Vendor must provide to the City proof, showing that the facility is licensed as a hotel or motel as authorized by law to provide lodging to individuals and families. Individuals and families will be placed in available facilities based on criteria established by the Office of Housing.
