at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.
Bid documents will be available September 10, 2018 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website (www.springfieldcityhall.com).

The Springfield Department of Public Works (DPW) is seeking to obtain a price agreement for Rock Salt. The rock salt should meet the ASTM standard D632-72. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $500,000.00. The term of the contract awarded is One (1) year in length. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c.30B § 5. Bidders must provide a 5% bid bond, and selected vendor will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond upon contract execution.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than September 20, 2018 by 4:30 P.M. to Erin Hand at ehand@springfieldcityhall.com . The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
