REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR: On-Call Environmental Monitoring Services

at which time the proposals will be privately reviewed in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the required services, to submit proposals for performing on-call as needed, environmental monitoring services. Work will consist of environmental testing, monitoring, remediation and oversight in connection with City demolition and construction projects. This RFP is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B § 6.
The City will award up to One (1) contract, each with an estimated value of $500,000.00. Contracts will be awarded to the most advantageous proposal(s) received. The initial term of the Contract will be one year, but will contain two (2) one-year renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion. RFP documents can be requested through the City’s website or in person (during normal business hours) beginning on 8/9/18.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.

All questions regarding the RFP or its specifications must be submitted in writing received by the Office of Procurement on or before August 22, 2018 by 4:00 PM (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com).

No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
