Invitation for Bids: Supply and Delivery of Various Pool Chemicals and Supplies

at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.
Bid documents will be available August 6, 2018 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website (www.springfieldcityhall.com).

The Springfield Department of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management (DPBRM)- Facilities Division is seeking a qualified vendor to provide swimming pool balancing chemicals for Eleven (11) City school pools and Two (2) outdoor municipal pools, owned and operated by the City of Springfield. Vendor will be responsible for the transportation of the chemicals to the various pools and to pick up all empty chemical containers. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $50,000.00 per year. Responses to Bid No. 19-028 must include all required documents, completed, and signed. The initial term of the contract awarded is One (1) year in length, and the City will retain Two (2) one-year in length renewal options. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c.30B § 5.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than August 15, 2018 by 4:30 P.M. to Theo Theocles at ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals.
