at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning May 23, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the replacement of select front entry doors at Sci-Tech High School for this coming summer vacation. These doors represent a growing maintenance burden for the City and present a potential security risk going forward.

The City intends to award a contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest pricing for specified products and services. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $50,000.00.

An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 5/29/18 at 2:00A.M. on-site at 1250 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109 as per the Central Register and can be made by appointment by interested contracts by contacting Jonathan Carignan, Jcarignan@springfieldcityhall.com.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) by June 8, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
