at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning June 20, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Chapter 30 § 39M and other applicable procurement statutes.
Painting of Approximately: 558,000 LF of 4” Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber Double Yellow Center Line Markings; 9,600 LF of 4” Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber Yellow Lane Lines; 6,000 LF of 12” Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber Yellow Lines; 122,400 LF of 4” Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber White Lane Lines; 150,000 LF of 12” Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber White Crosswalks and Stop Lines and 28,800 LF of 4” Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber White Lane Lines (handwork); 21,600 SF of Reflectorized Chlorinated Rubber White Pavement Arrows and Legend Markings throughout the City of Springfield .
Installation of Approximately: 10,400 LF of 24” Thermoplastic Reflectorized White Crosswalks; 1,200 LF of 12” Thermoplastic Reflectorized White Stop Lines; 41,256 LF of 6” Thermoplastic Reflectorized White Bike Lane Lines; 1,590 SF of Thermoplastic Reflectorized White Bike Arrows, Sharrows and Legend Markings; 88 EA of Steel Traffic Sign Supports; 296 SF of Warning, Regulatory and Route Marker Aluminum Panels and Plaques for Bike Lanes at various locations in the City of Springfield.
In order for a bid to be deemed valid, Bidders must be pre-qualified thru the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Total estimated cost of the project is estimated not to exceed $413,000.00
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by Thursday June 28, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. (ehand@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield’s goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
