Bid No. 18-139; Warner School Underground Storage Tank Removal
Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on May 1, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Underground Storage Tank Removal at Warner School. Generally, the work includes, but is not limited to; removal of existing Under Ground Storage Tank, excavation, site protection, and utilities protection. Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, materials, temporary storage, facilities, tools, , and other appliances necessary for the work in this section and as required to properly complete the project in accordance with the contract documents and good construction practice.

Project is estimated not to exceed $30,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 4/17/18 at 9:00 A.M, on-site at Warner School (493 Parker Street). Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Matthew Dovell at (413) 726-6582 for questions regarding the site visit.

Specifications can be obtained through the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website (www.springfieldcityhall.com) for no charge. Contractor must agree to pay MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by April 24, 2018, (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com).
