The City of Springfield Office of Procurement requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals TO A CHILD RECREATION SERVICE PROVIDER TO PROVIDE A SUMMER DAY CAMP AT CAMP WILDER, PARKER STREET by the Department of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management, MA per RFP No. 18- 117.

Proposals will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., April 3, 2018, at The Office of Procurement, City Hall, Room 307, 36 Court Street, Springfield, MA 01103, Tel.:(413) 787-6285; Fax: (413) 787-6295

This is a request for proposals (RFP) per M.G.L. c. 30B § 6. The City will consider and compare technical qualifications and price qualifications in evaluating proposals. Proposals will be compared for relevant experience and for documented ability to deliver a variety of outdoor experiences to campers.

The RFP is for a qualified, experienced individual or firm to organize and operate a summer day camp serving approximately 100 campers per week for a six (6) week summer camp program between the ages of 7 and 14 at Camp Wilder, Parker Street, at the following possible locations : Central High School, Forest Park, Hubbard Park, Greenleaf Park, Van Horn Park, and/or Nathan Bill Park, as to be determined by the City. The initial contract term is for one year, but may be extended at the City’s option for two additional years in one-year increments. This procurement is governed by the Springfield 20% goal for MWBE participation.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by March 15, 2018, (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The City of Springfield reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
