18-091 - Bituminous Concrete; Pick-Up & Laid in Place

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning March 21, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30 §39M and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City is seeking Contractors to be a manufacturer of bituminous concrete and supply the DPW bituminous concrete for various municipal and school locations throughout the City on an as needed basis.

The bids will be publicly opened and read in the bid room- located in the Office of Procurement.

The City intends to award up to Two (2) potential contracts to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) shall not exceed $450,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.

The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
