Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on August 3, 2017 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Redevelopment of Jaime Ulloa Park on Morgan Street. Work includes, but is not limited to renovations for for increased accessibility; including playground elements and overall site improvements (picnic tables, bike rack, landscaping, etc.,). Estimated cost of the project is $500,000.00.

A Site Visit has been scheduled for 7/26/17 at 11:00 A.M, on-site at Jaime Ulloa Park. Contact Laura Walsh at (413) 886-5186. Contractor must agree to pay Prevailing Wage or Davis Bacon Wage Rates whenever applicable. The City of Springfield REO applies to this project.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at www.biddocsonline.com on March 8, 2017 (may be viewed electronically and hard copy requested) or at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc. to cover mail handling costs.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by July 27, 2017, 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
