Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on June 1, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Estimated cost of the project is $100,000.00. Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages whenever applicable.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids for the supply and installation of a new Fire Alarm System for Freedman school located at 90 Cherokee Drive, Springfield, MA. Fire Alarm system will be furnished and installed according to specifications.

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for May 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. on site at Freedman School (90 Cherokee Drive). Contact: Matthew Dovell; 413-787-6582, with inquiries concerning the pre-bid site visit.

The IFB may be obtained beginning May 18, 2017 electronically by contacting Theo G. Theocles, Esq, Deputy Procurement Officer, via email at ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com between the hours of 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Questions must be submitted in writing to the City by 5/24/17 in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
