17-131 - Services: Gunshot Detection and Location System

End date: Friday June 9, 2017 at 2 p.m.

The Springfield Police Department through the Office of Procurement is seeking proposals for a Gunfire Detection, Location and Alert service. The service must be operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year, and must be supported round-the-clock by trained personnel. The service must provide coverage throughout the outdoor portions of the areas specified. The City is currently using ShotSpotter™ and is seeking proposals for increasing City’s three (3) square miles to six (6) square miles.


The SPD prefers not to purchase the hardware equipment system and is seeking an ongoing (subscription-based) service. The equipment provided under this service must be installed, operated, managed and maintained by a qualified, capable, and reputable vendor.


Bid Questions

Questions concerning this RFP should be directed to the City of Springfield Chief Procurement Officer, in writing, no later than five (5) business days (June 1, 2017) prior to the scheduled proposal opening. No questions to be considered, or interpretations issued, unless such request is received in the Office of Procurement within the specified time. Addenda

If any changes are made to this RFP, an addendum will be sent via e-mail or facsimile to all proposers on record as having received the RFP through the Office of Procurement. All addenda must be acknowledged on the bid forms. Failure to do so may result in automatic rejection of the bid.
